Private Label
Private Label vs. White Label: What's the Real Difference?
The terms private label and white label get used interchangeably, but they describe two different levels of involvement.
Private label generally starts with an existing or adaptable product that gets sold under your brand identity — your logo, your packaging, your product name. It is a fast way to bring a product to market without starting from a blank page.
White label typically refers to a more complete, turnkey solution: product, packaging, and fulfillment infrastructure built to let a partner launch and operate under its own brand with broader operational support behind it.
Neither approach is automatically the right one. The decision usually comes down to how much formulation customization you want, your timeline, and whether you want to manage fulfillment yourself or have it handled on your behalf.
